I have read the article on panic attacks on your website, '', and having researched this area for many years, this is the first time I’ve come across a piece that covered the topic from so many perspectives and more importantly joined up the dots on what has been a very fragmented jigsaw in my head. This will be an invaluable resource for me personally and for the groups that I run.

I began my own journey of recovery some 15 years ago and set up support groups initially to help myself, but they have developed organically and now exist to help those who find themselves in this predicament.

From the onset of my panic attacks I searched for a way of dealing with the crippling, terrifying episodes that threatened to overtake my everyday life. They continued to present without warning, preying on my anxieties and I felt helpless to overcome them.

I now understand that the mind, body, spirit and environment balance in my life really matters, and it has helped me to see where I can take healthy control of my thoughts and behaviours.

Thank you for shedding some light on this complicated and frightening issue.
